Brent K.S. Woodfill in Coban, Guatemala

Brent K.S. Woodfill is an archaeologist, writer, and professor. He has conducted research in the Maya world since 1998, focusing on sacred geography, ritual and religion, trade, and community archaeology. He is currently directing research at the Classic Maya saltworks of Ixtapa, Chiapas, Mexico in addition to several other Classic cities and saltworks in the Guatemalan lowlands and the highlands of Chiapas and Guatemala. Woodfill lives in Charlotte and is Professor of Anthropology at Winthrop University.
